Challenge Cycle 🏆¶
1. Debugging Phase (open)¶
- Gives the participants access to the debugging logs from grand-challenge.org and allows them to develop and debug their docker containers
- 5 submissions/week are allowed per team
- Data: 2 cases from the training set
2. Live Leaderboard Phase (September 2024 - 9. February 2025)¶
- Only accessible to teams that have made a successful submission to the debugging phase
- 2 submissions/week are allowed per team
- Two leaderboards:
- Monocyte and lymphocyte detection
- Inflammatory cell detection (mono-nuclear leukocytes (MNL), i.e., monocytes and lymphocytes combined)
- Data: Hold-out validation set of 9 cases (Center E)
3. Final Test Phase (1.-9. February 2025)¶
- Only accessible to teams that have participated in the live leaderboard phase
- 2 submission allowed per team (results will be hidden until webinar)
- Two leaderboards:
- Monocyte and lymphocyte detection
- Inflammatory cell detection (mono-nuclear leukocytes (MNL), i.e., monocytes and lymphocytes combined)
- Data: 9 cases from center E plus 19 cases from center F
- The challenge winners are determined during this phase
- Read the rules about code publication
Open Submission Cycle 🔁¶
After the winners are announced, the challenge will reopen for submissions and be supported for up to five years. The setup and rules remain the same, but the awards are no longer available (prize money, challenge publication co-authorship, etc.).
