Challenge Cycle 🐵¶

1. Debugging Phase (August-December 2024)¶

• Gives the participants access to the debugging logs from grand-challenge.org and allows them to develop and debug their docker containers
• 5 submissions/week are allowed per team
• Data: 3 cases from the training set

2. Live Leaderboard Phase (August-November 2024)¶

• Only accessible to teams that have made a successful submission to the debugging phase
• 2 submissions/week are allowed per team
• Two leaderboards: (A) monocyte and lymphocyte detection and (B) mono-nuclear leukocytes (MNL) (i.e., combined)
• Data: Hold-out validation set of 10 cases (Center E)

3. Final Test Phase (December 2024)¶

• Only accessible to teams that have participated in the live leaderboard phase
• 1 submission allowed per team
• Two leaderboards: (A) monocyte and lymphocyte detection and (B) mono-nuclear leukocytes (MNL) (i.e., combined)
• Data:  9 cases from center E plus 19 cases from center F
• The challenge winners are determined during this phase

Open Submission Cycle 🔁¶

After the winners are announced, the challenge will reopen for submissions and be supported for up to five years.
